INSTRUMENTATION

The CRMN was conceived around the installation of the first worldwide GHz spectrometer, delivered in the summer of 2009 and progressively equipped with a variety of state-of-the-art accessories (including ultra-fast magic-angle spinning probes and solution cryoprobes). After 10 years of operation this machine remains the most powerful high resolution NMR spectrometer in the world, allowing the study of a broad range of samples. In particular, it has led to major breakthroughs in the field of functionalized materials, heterogeneous catalysis, energy storage, structural biology for health, and metabolomic profiling in oncology. Around this instrument, a platform has been built up of six other 400, 500, 600, 700, and 800 (x2) MHz frequency spectrometers, offering outstanding research capabilities. Today, the center additionally hosts a unique hyperpolarized NMR platform with two 400 MHz and 800 MHz magic angle spinning (MAS) DNP systems as well as two polarizers for dissolution DNP.

Bruker 500 MHz WB Ultrashield NMR Spectromter equipped with:

• AVANCE NEO Bruker

• LT-MAS cryocabinet with automatic refill system

• MAS 3 unit

• BCU 2 cooling unit

• 9 solid NMR probes: 0.7mm HXY, 1.3mm HX, 2.5mm BBHX, 2.5mm CRAMPS, 3.2mm HCN, 4mm HXY, 4mm BB HX, 7mm BB HX, Static HX

 

Bruker 600 MHz Ultrashield Plus NMR spectrometer equipped with:

• AVANCE III Bruker

• SampleJet autosampler (5 racks of 96 samples and 30 spinners)

• cryoplatform

• 5 mm TXI cryoprobes HCND, H/FPCN

 

Bruker 700 MHz Ultrashield NMR spectrometer equipped with:

• AVANCE III Bruker

• BCU 2 cooling unit

• HR-MAS SamplePro autosampler (50 samples)

• 4 solid NMR probes: 1.3mm HCN, 2.5mm BBHX, 3.2mm HCN, 4mm BBHX

• 1 HR-MAS probe

• 2 liquid NMR probes: TXI 5mm, BBO 5mm

 

Bruker 800 MHz WB/RS Ultrashield Plus NMR spectrometer (DNP) equipped with:

• AVANCE NEO Bruker

• 527GHz Gyrotron

• LT-MAS cryocabinet with automatic refill system

• 2 solid NMR probes : 1.3 mm TR (HCN or HCD or HC), 3.2 mm Efree HCN
